Elizabeth A. Davison

Elizabeth A. Davison, 80, of Du Quoin went to be with the Lord at 5:03 P.M., Friday, February 20, 2004 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
She had worked at Marshall Browning Hospital laundry department for several years. She had also worked at Mallory Co. in Du Quoin, Good Luck Glove Factory in Carbondale, Du Quoin Packing Co. and the Pinckneyville Garment Factory.
Elizabeth was a real good and loving wife and mother, she was very devoted to her family. She was known for her excellent cooking abilities and her pie making.
She ws a member of the Spirit of Life Christian Church in Du Quoin.
She was born April 26, 1923 at Carterville, IL the daughter of Guy and Lucy (Peters) Williamson.
She married Allen Dale Davison on October 12, 1940 at Perryville, MO. He passed away March 4, 2001.
Elizabeth is survived by a daughter-DiAnna Hawk and husband Lybrand of Du Quoin, son- Allen Dale Davison Jr. and wife Delores of Du Quoin, granddaughter- Kimberly James of Du Quoin, three grandsons- Bill Hawk of Elkville, Allen Davison stationed with the US Navy, Thomas Davison of Herrin, great grandchildren- Lindsay King, Joshua King, Brooklyn Hawk, Taylor Hawk, Tyler Hawk, Bryleigh James, Elizabeth Davison and Jonathon Davison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother- George Thomas Williamson, two sisters- Jane McCluney and Margaret Miller.
Funeral services were at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Keith Filer officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday at the church.
Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Faith Assembly of God Church.
